Hello, and Welcome! A little about me....I have a love and passion for fitness, and I have worked in the fitness industry for more than 40 years. I can remember teaching classes with Jane Fonda records, and 45's. I currently teach a variety of group fitness classes including gentle yoga, aquafit, Silver Sneakers, and Energize, which is a class combining basic step, strength training, balance, and flexibility. I love the ocean, and have traveled and taught fitness classes in resorts in the caribbean for more than 15 years. I absolutely love to motivate and support individuals that want to improve their health and lifestyle!
Several years ago I seriously began my journey to improve my diet. My blood pressure was consistently high, and I was experiencing frequent spells of vertigo, which made it very difficult to teach certain fitness classes. Have you ever tried down dog or forward folds with vertigo? My choices were to stop teaching, try medication, OR implement dietary changes. Although I thought my diet was pretty healthy, I chose to work with a Health Coach to help me with my transition, and that was the beginning of my passion for real food! Not only have I not experienced vertigo in more than 5 years, my blood pressure is normal, I have lost 18 lbs, and have more energy than I have ever had! I decided that I had to share this with others! I continued searching for information on real foods nutrition, which eventually led me to the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. I have studied more than one hundred dietary theories and a variety of practical lifestyle coaching methods. Drawing on this knowledge, I can help you create a completely personalized “roadmap to health” that suits your unique body, lifestyle, preferences, and goals!
